Unit 6

                                                            Spiritual Renewal




Spiritual renewal is about how, or what we do to renew our spirit. To accomplish this we do many things, such as:

-Read the Bible
-Pray
-Go to church
-Fast
Among others.

Spiritual Renewal comes from religious beliefs of people, God, or the desire to better the soul or feel good with ourselves.  A lot of people are involve in religions and traditions.

There are many kind of
religion around the world, such as:

-Judaism
-Mormonism
-Islam
-Catholicism
-Evangelicals

As I explained before, fasting is one of the things people do to renew their spirit, and this is very popular. It is a period of time without
eating and drinking must of the day. People usually pray God in this activity. Nowadays fasting is necessary to find ourselves and to stay near God. Evangelicals people practice the tradition of fasting very often.

Due to religions, is common to find many ascetic people nowadays, for example:
These people don't drink alcohol, don't dance, and after all, they follow their religion.

Religions also have different days to do things, or to save
a day without any activity. For example:

 -Adventist: keep saturday
-Catholics: keeps sundays
-Mormons: fast the first sunday of every month.
-Islam: fast in their holy day which is call ¨Ramadan¨.

Unit 5 Feng Shui

     In ancient Chinese beliefs there is a flow of energy that circulates around everything and everyone called "Chi". The correct flow of this energy causes harmony, peace, well-being, abundance. This is achieved with a good organization and / or disposition of the physical space around us. Unit. 5 "Feng Shui"

According to the book, feng shui means the art of alingning things in the environment to create harmony and good luck. So I don't think in all that is a superstition but it is truth that there are many places with a great view. One way to think about feng shui is many great places that you can feel good, but I don't accept that a color will bring furtune or something like that. Because my base on life and things  is God. I'm sure if you want to decorate etc. it is important to a find a hard-bitten designers. Finally, I'm sure if you go a house where God is first, you will sense the differences in the environment as a result I'm skeptical believing in feng shui in all.
