Unit I-INTERNET ADDICTION

An addiction is a behavior, which can not be controlled by the person who manifests it. This can be the result of the repetition of some action, which creates a habit in the person. These habits become, little by little, part of the personality, which makes it very difficult to modify. Internet addiction, along with drugs and food, is one of the most common nowadays. Technology has taken us to an era where we are all connected to all parts of the world, thanks to the internet and all the advances in cell phones. These devices so necessary today provide us with countless contents, among these social networks are the most used. These create a need and/or dependence on the affected, which according to studies has the same effect as alcohol in the brain.

Internet addiction has many adverse health effects, both mental and physical. Some of the emotional effects are depression, anxiety, inability to prioritize schedules, euphoria when using the computer or cell phone, feeling guilty, isolation, agitation, fear, mood swings. Among the physical effects we can highlight Back pain, Carpal tunnel syndrome, Headaches, Insomnia, Poor nutrition (not eating or eating too much to avoid being away from the computer), Poor personal hygiene (for example, do not bathe to stay in line), neck pain, dry eyes and other vision problems. These symptoms could affect a person for life, unless they receive the right help.

The solution for Internet addiction starts after recognizing that the problem exists. Sometimes people do not realize they need help, so the intervention of those around us is mandatory. Once the problem is detected, it is necessary to take actions that help the person to get out of the vicious circle in which they find themselves. Support groups are one of the best ways to combat addiction, because by being in contact with people who manifest the same problem, we can realize the way we are acting and thus be able to overcome any behavior harmful to our health.

Unit 7 Workplace Privacy

There is a great controversy regarding the monitoring of jobs. Employers regularly feel the need to monitor their employees, because they are paying a time that must be used for the tasks for which they are paying. Sometimes workers are intentionally delayed, and they can also use the company's resources for personal tasks. This motivates owners and / or bosses to use certain forms of surveillance, which can range from security cameras to blocking certain content on the network to maximize productivity. On the other hand, there is the fact that surveillance can have an opposite effect on employees. The sensation produced by knowing that every action you take will be monitored, can create great tension, even anxiety in people. The boundaries between surveillance and stalking are very narrow and can be enclosed from time to time. For this reason there are certain statutes dedicated to supervising and guaranteeing privacy in workplaces, such as The Electronic Communic...

Unit 6 Spiritual Renuval

In the time we live, people have hundreds of goals that lead them to enroll in hundreds of activities. To fulfill a goal such as buying a car, a house, a new telephone, filling people with satisfaction, the accumulation of material goods has become the way in which society measures success. But there is a very important aspect that has been left aside, and it is the spirit. This is like a container that is filling as we live. It is like filling a container with figures of different shapes, even if it is completed to the top it will always have empty spaces, but if water is poured, it will fill it completely. The spirit is the same, you have to fill it with things that do not leave empty spaces.      When we reach that point where we feel empty inside, a spiritual renuval is necessary. There are many ways to refill the spirit and each person must find their own way. Some read the bible, others go to places in search of peace and fleeing from the b...
