Unit V. Feng Shui


Summary about Unit V. 

In this unit, we talked about the theory of Feng Shui. Feng Shui is a theory that teaches us how to organize things in a logical way.

According to the book, feng shui is the ancient Chinese art or practice of arranging the environment in order to achieve harmony in that space.

During the class, we had the opportunity to discuss everything about this theory, each student had the opportunity to give his or her thoughts about Feng Shui theory.

Most of the students agreed with this theory because it helps us to be more organize and also helps us to have a life of success.

We also talked about the spoken discourse connectors.

We discuss the following connectors :

  1. However 
  2. On the other hand 
  3. In addition
  4. On top of that 
  5. So 
  6. As a result 
Now, I will give you some sentences using these connectors 

The sky is very cloudy, however, there is no chance of rain 

I would like to go out with my friends, but on the other hand, I should be studying for my final test.

They are offering a part-time job. In addition, people can look for more job opportunity in other places. 

I have a lot of things to do in the community, on top of that I have to work on my final project for the university.

Unit 6

                                                            Spiritual Renewal Spiritual renewal is about how, or what we do to renew our spirit. To accomplish this we do many things, such as: -Read the Bible -Pray -Go to church -Fast Among others. Spiritual Renewal comes from religious beliefs of people, God, or the desire to better the soul or feel good with ourselves.  A lot of people are involve in religions and traditions. Unit. 5 "Feng Shui"

According to the book, feng shui means the art of alingning things in the environment to create harmony and good luck. So I don't think in all that is a superstition but it is truth that there are many places with a great view. One way to think about feng shui is many great places that you can feel good, but I don't accept that a color will bring furtune or something like that. Because my base on life and things  is God. I'm sure if you want to decorate etc. it is important to a find a hard-bitten designers. Finally, I'm sure if you go a house where God is first, you will sense the differences in the environment as a result I'm skeptical believing in feng shui in all.
