Unit 6: Spiritual Renewal


Spiritual renewal is how and when people decide to renewal their  spirit.

    In this unit we could appreciate a great vocabulary of  importance related to spiritual renewal such as:

- Joseph Smith was the first mormon prophet saw God and Jesus in his visions

- when we fast we brake every conection with material things

- I want to be in de divine presence of God

-if we want to transform ourselves spiritually, we must have a strong will to follow the glorious path of God

- Fast is important these days because is vital for spiritual well being

There are different tipes of religion such as:

-Judaisim
-Islam
-Mormonism
-episcopaliaism
Among other 
In this leson i learned importante things like:

-The first place Mohamed fast, that was in Yom kippur

-When the Mormon fast? They fast the first monday of every mounth

- I learned that Judaism fast during 1 mounth without sex, food, alcohol. They start their fast from sun rise from sun set. They usually call this tipe of fast, ramadame.

In this section we talk about an important topic like the use of count nouns and 
no-count nouns.

*Count nouns are those that can be counted and made plural.

*Non-count nouns are these that can not be counted and not be plural.

There are a lot of cuantifiers that we could use with Count Nouns and Non- count nouns such as:

C. Before Count Nouns:
- a lot of 
- many/ a great many
- a bunch of 
- (a large) number of
- certain
- not many
- very few

C. before Non-Count Nouns:
- a lot of

- quite a bit of
- a large  amount of

- very little (just a little / only a little)

On page 161 of our text book we find an explanation of the grammar talking about verb + gerund or infinitive, which says that using the same verb among gerund or infinitive the meaning will be different, but it does not apply to all the verbs. I will write the examples with my own words. Verb + gerund She will never forget getting a ride into a haunted castle . Meaning: She will not erase that experience of her mind.      There is a great controversy regarding the monitoring of jobs. Unit 6 Spiritual Renuval

     In the time we live, people have hundreds of goals that lead them to enroll in hundreds of activities. To fulfill a goal such as buying a car, a house, a new telephone, filling people with satisfaction, the accumulation of material goods has become the way in which society measures success. But there is a very important aspect that has been left aside, and it is the spirit. This is like a container that is filling as we live. It is like filling a container with figures of different shapes, even if it is completed to the top it will always have empty spaces, but if water is poured, it will fill it completely.
