On page 161 of our text book we find an explanation of the grammar talking about verb + gerund or infinitive, which says that using the same verb among gerund or infinitive the meaning will be different, but it does not apply to all the verbs. I will write the examples with my own words. Verb + gerund She will never forget getting a ride into a haunted castle . Meaning: She will not erase that experience of her mind. They remember switching the lights off when they went on vacations . Meaning: Talking about the past. Verb + infinitive The lights were all burned because he forgot to switch off  the control panel . Meaning: He forgot to do the action.  Remember to switch off the lights when you go out .  Meaning: It's a reminder. Talking about the future. It does not apply to all the verbs, i will write examples in which the meaning does not change: My father continue smoking. My father continue to smoke. I start playing soccer.  My opinion about Fasting.  I respect others religions and beliefs but i disagree about fasting. Here are some of my thoughts about it:  The food is not a problem. Eating is not a sin. Hunger is not healthy. Being hungry will not put you closer to God or any other divinity. As a Dominican President once said: ''Hungry people don't even think''.  People can fast by not practicing negative things. But as i said before, i respect others beliefs. 

I think that people that believes in Feng Shui are just superstitious people that want to stop robbery or win the lottery. I don't like some things from Feng Shui style because it would make me feel out of freedom but it also has things that i like. I will write a list of what i like and what i don't. Likes  A aquarium Plants and flowers A desk facing a view  A room full of windows  Living on a quiet dead-end street.  Dislikes  Mirrows  Living near a cemetery An odd number of dinning rooms chairs  Pictures of bats on the walls A tiger statue outside an office door. ( I rather a Dog). 

In this time I will complete an exercise about the Power of Context on page 82 of our text book talking about a Recycling problem in a school. The recycling program in my school is not popular with students. They don't recycle. ⏬ The principal created a meeting among professors and student's parents.  ⏬ They decided to avoid any school's season party and punish them taking away 5 points in their final grade.  ⏬ The decision was widespread in the hole school.  ⏬ My school ended up as the most recycling school in 2018

People is not only shy when they are around others, sometimes a person is not shy at all in social relationship, but is very shy just in a situation; trying to speak a different language. As a student of Modern Languages I have seen many students that prefer not to speak in English before, during and after class. Also I have seen students that can speak in English with the classmates before and after class, but prefer not to speak during class because they don't like the professor's way to correct them for every minimum word or statement in front of others. I also know students that feel shy because they think their pronunciation is not good.  In my opinion shyness in Languages Speaking is not positive. To avoid a situation when you have to talk does not help to develop and improve your language skills. I think bashful people should sing karaoke, participate in informal conversations and you know, do things that make them feel free to speak in English. 

In Unit  2 we were talking about Honesty, which in the book says that is the best policy. People use to lie because it can hide them from a problem, this is not correct but sometimes help. Telling the true doesn't help all the time. For example, on page 41 of our text book, we find some statements that shows the pros and cons of being honest: Ex 1- '' Well, I was late for my first time appointment with a new client. When i told her i'd forgotten about the appointment, she fired me''. Ex 2- '' Then Loe asked me to go to lunch, and I said no. When he asked me why, I said I didn't feel like listening to his problems''. In the first example the person was fired because he/she said the true. In the second example the person looks like arrogant just because he/she was telling his/her feelings. I'm not trying to say that telling the true is bad, what i'm trying to say is that sometimes is better to explain what is happening in a po...

     In this unit we have seen the two kinds of personalities that manifest in each one of us. People who feel very comfortable with social interaction, those who seek to always be the center of attention are the so-called bold, this condition is considered by society as the most acceptable. These people present conditions of more defined leaders and tend to have a large number of people who always look for their company. While shy people tend to be more withdrawn, these individuals are more likely to seek the company of loneliness. These tend to have a smaller group of friends, because they have a hard time trusting people.      Personally, I consider myself to be a member of the second group, the bashful ones. Shyness is taking over language students . Nowadays  students who study languages have a big problem when speaking or putting into practice a language, for the reason that they are afraid of making mistakes and that others laugh at them, but also not only that is affecting them, but it could be that they feel taught, they are shrinking violet, they are not open people, they are not sociable, they are reserved and among other qualities that could influence the practice of the student language among other activities. The only solution to fight with shyness is that we must be outgoing, sociable, open, bold, always be positive about all things and be sure of ourselves to not doubt what we set out to do.

Honesty   is a human quality that each person must carry with them and that can have a full life, without discord, with love, without disorder so that people can grow in their lives. There are several key points that will help you lead a transparent life: Accept us as we are Be faithful towards our spouse Always speak with the truth Not be someone we are not Show respect towards others Accept the mistakes and failures we make Avoid criticizing other people Among other.... One of the first causes of not being honest is that at the end of all,  people will not believe you for living a false life full of lies for hiding the right thing but the worst of all, is that those people who lie will not stop doing it even knowing that it would cause psychological and physical problems. Telling lies to those people already becomes a habit but in the end they will always be in a dark real life.

    Internet addiction    is a bad habit that people acquire by the excessive use of social networks, see the profile of another, watch videos, find information, chat with friends, listen to music on YouTube or  watch movies ,play online, download free apps, post messages on a blog, among others. This addiction can affect more than 5 percent of the population that could cause several symptoms such as: Lack of sleep Anxiety Compulsivity Depression Lack of appetite Vision problems ect... Summary about Unit V.  In this unit, we talked about the theory of Feng Shui. Feng Shui is a theory that teaches us how to organize things in a logical way. According to the book, feng shui is the ancient Chinese art or practice of arranging the environment in order to achieve harmony in that space. My opinion is that the employers have the rights to check what are doing employees white they are working. So I don't think they are loosing the dignity, they have to be carefull because you don't know people, also what they could do back. I don't see any wrong when the boss says to the workers "today you have to take drug tests willy-nilly. " If you are not doing any wrong why you feel demeaned. At the end, I there's nothing sinister about monitoring practices if you don't feel comfortable go to find other work. How they are going to deter theft if they don't prevents many problems in this way.

Since I was a kid I had been trying to renew my spiritual life. Two years ago, I understood without God we are nothing. We could have a profession or money everything but we don't have God, we can't feel the divine precense that fills our sould. On the other hand, the president enacted a law for reading the Bible at school so I'm used to going and these are the things that feel peoud helping children. You could pay the best university to your son but if don't teach the spiritual life you did nothing, this is the truth. Only God can do the differences in we. Also the church has become a haven for God's believers tired of the hectic pace of life. Finally, I refrain from eating and drinking mos of the times because I want to be more closer to God. According to the book, feng shui means the art of alingning things in the environment to create harmony and good luck. So I don't think in all that is a superstition but it is truth that there are many places with a great view. One way to think about feng shui is many great places that you can feel good, but I don't accept that a color will bring furtune or something like that. Because my base on life and things  is God. I'm sure if you want to decorate etc. it is important to a find a hard-bitten designers. Finally, I'm sure if you go a house where God is first, you will sense the differences in the environment as a result I'm skeptical believing in feng shui in all.

In Unit 1 we where talking about addictions. An addiction is a disease or condition in which a person cannot control the impulsiveness to use or eat something. It affects the way addicted people manage relationships. The abuse of alcohol is one of the most common addictions of young and old people. The tipping point. In this unit we learned that a tipping point is an instant of change in someone’s life, actions or events that mark a present or a past. Are those small portions that are put together to make that something significant happened. A tipping point can be a discharge, get a real good occupation, get  something that you hadn’t before, the birth of your first child, etc. Grammar Adverb clauses of result "So...that" vs "such...that". Both are used to explain the result or to explain an opinion about someone or something, but they have differences in their use in the sentence. " So...that" We can use "so" with "adjective+ that" to explain the result. Example: Deyanira is so busy that she never call me. "Such...that" We can use "such" with "adjective+noun+ that" to explain the result. Example: Madelines is such a nice person that all her friends love her.

For me, being extroverted or introverted is something that we do not choose to be, I mean it is beyond what we believe, it is genetic. That means, we cannot judge anyone. We must respect and try to help the others because at the end we are not perfect. In my cases, I'm shy and sometimes I want to express my own opinions but I cannot, I do not know, also in Spanish I have these problems. Despite that I'm a sensible person, I used to thinking at night about every things and most of the times I cannot sleep. So my mother has the same problems. As a result, I'm shy.  Something happens, For example, the teacher wanted to correct our errors, that's great but if the student is sensitive, he/she feels very bad at the moment. I think there are other ways. That's day felt distressed.  Finally, I didn't decide to be outgoing or shy, I'm this, so feel proud of my personality because I can see or feel things or feelings that makes me unique, as everyone unique....
